Isn’t it good when the silly little things make you smile, whether they mean anything or not? I was sitting on a train on the way to uni, when I saw the following image in the Metro.


Now on first inspection you may think it is one of those smiley potato things coloured pink, but you would be wrong. In fact, this is the work of artist  Stuart Semple. Made from soap, dye and helium it, along with 1999 others, was released outside London’s Tate Modern Gallery, Semple said that he wanted to create something that would cheer people up. Although I didn’t see this first hand the picture in the paper certainly made me smile. =]
